Dear family and loved ones, please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. It has helped me and many others to know that the Bible promises that soon God “will swallow up death forever” (Isaiah 25:8) and that He will bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones (John 5 : 28, 29) . May “the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,” comfort you during your time of sadness. (2 Corinthians 1: 3)

Memories from Jonathan My Grandpa was a great man.. I may only be able to count on one hand how many times I ever met him but I do know he was a great man... the few times I met him the memories I have of him are more clear than any memories I have had for my family. The time he drove from AZ to my house in Milford NJ during the wintertime, NJ wouldn't let him pass the toll booth because he had chains on the tires. We went to visit him in AZ. He took me to his shop, but first we would go to McDonalds and he would buy me and my brother and him and Sparky (his dog) breakfast, but I was little and didn't like McDonalds except for the hash browns so he bought me like six of them and orange juice. Then we were at his shop and he let me drive a Volvo in the empty fields and dirt road by his shop and I was only 10 years old! After my turn he told my mom I was actually very good at driving besides hitting every pothole in the road, he said I was gonna be a good driver. He always remembered my birthday and would send me an envelope with a card and McDonalds money. I wish I could have spent more time with him but it was hard because he lived far away. He was always a call away, I am glad I got to call him right before he died and tell him I loved him.

Thank you to Mr. Bumbaco's family. The strength, wisdom and Love of Life was overwhelming from him. I had only met you and shared a few days with you, but the memory's will be with me forever. I had the great fortune of meeting you and spending time with you which definitely showed me my problems were trivial, yet you stood proud of the man you are and that has shown me to stay positive no matter what comes into our lives. I'm proud to have had you in my life and in my heart forever. Thank you. Love, Gary

The world lost another good man last week. My friend Dave Bumbaco passed away after losing a long battle with cancer. Dave was a master mechanic, a journeyman engine builder, and spent many weekends at the drag strip blowing away the competition. When he got bored at the drag strip he would pack up and go to the circle track to show those kids how to race. Dave had many stories about his racing days and I always enjoyed hearing him talk about them. Dave built the Ford 302 motor that I have in my 1964 Ford Falcon Station Wagon resto-mod. Now every time I drive it I’m going to hear Dave yell, “Floor it!”. Dave… ya left us too soon. I know Dave is in Hot Rod Heaven right now taking the checked flag in a grudge race. Wish we could have built one more. See ya down the road, Dave. Rest In Peace my friend.
