Celebrating the Life of Omar Trumaine McFadden

Omar Trumaine McFadden, son of Alfonso McFadden and Bonita Nottingham, was born on Sept. 13, 1985 in Philadelphia, PA. He departed this life on Nov. 14, 2021 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 36 from COVID.

When Omar was 17 years old he accepted Jesus into his life. Omar was educated in the Philadelphia school system and also in Tucson Arizona where he graduated from Canyon del Oro High School in 2003. Omar had a love of sports starting with tee-ball in first grade, basketball in middle school and football in high school. After high school Omar moved back to Philly and eventually enlisted into the Army which had always been his dream and did a tour in Iraq. While stationed in Colorado he married and three children were born from this union, Brandon D, Pearl M. and Abigail A. McFadden.

Omar loved his kids and spent quality time with each of them, going to the movies, going out to dinner and going to their school award ceremonies. Omar aspired to be a stand-up comedian. He did his stand-up routine at the Laff Comedy Café in Tucson, AZ and was invited to host the show a couple of times. Omar was affectionately called “O”, a nickname he had since childhood.

Omar leaves to cherish his memories, his son Brandon, daughters Pearl, Abigail and step-daughter Dichelle; sister Ava; father Alfonso; mother Bonita; many Aunts and Uncles; God-mother Celeste, God-brother Trevis; and a host of relatives, cousins and friends.

I could have never imagine when I checked on you that fateful day, Jesus had already taken you….I love and miss you. Love, Mom.
