Obituary of Charles Allen Guyer

Charles Allen Guyer born on September 22, 1937 in Colorado Springs, CO. His parents were Freda P. James Guyer and John. M. Guyer. Siblings were Richard W. Guyer, Marjorie Fern Guyer, Gilliam and Peggy M. Guyer.

Charles served in the US Navy for 8 years and then in the US Coast Guard for 4 more years. He lived in Colorado Spring, CO, doing various jobs and owning several businesses. He was a Boy Scout leader and took his troop many places for camping in the mountains.

Charles attended several different churches throughout his life, including Episcopalian and Baptist. Charles moved to Tempe, AZ in 1992 to assist with caring for his Mother.

Charles loved cooking and serving in soup kitchens in CO, AZ and OH. He also did many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in CO, AZ OH for those less fortunate.

Charles was predeceased by John M. Guyer, Father: Richard W. Guyer, Brother and Freda P. Guyer, Mother. Lawrence R. Gilliam, Brother-in-law and Eva Marie Adams, Guyer, Sister-in-law.

Charles is survived by David W. Johnson, of Picture Rocks, AZ, Friend and caregiver (when Chuck’s sister were unable to be there): his sister Marjorie F. Gilliam of Wellston, OK and his sister Peggy M. Guyer of Livonia, MI. He also has: 6 nieces and nephews plus many, great and great, great nieces and nephews.
